ZOOMING, PANNING AND MORE:
The Raven will circle around its main point of interest, known as the CAMERA TARGET (indicated by a red sphere). The position of this camera target can be moved in any compass direction and can be raised up and down in height. Wherever the camera target resides, the Raven will circle around it. So if you move the camera target north, the Raven will follow it north and then circle around this new position.
There are four main sets of camera controls:
- Position(NSWE)
- Height (altitude of the camera target)
- Zoom (focal length of the camera)
- Camera Type (DTV, NV, FLIR-W, FLIR-B)
POSITION: The position of the camera target can be moved North (Numpad 8), South (Numpad 2), West (Numpad 4) or East (Numpad 6). The speed of the position change is dependent on zoom level. The more zoomed the camera is, the slower the position changes. The wider the focal length, the faster the position changes.
ZOOM: Change the focal length of the camera by zooming In (Numpad Plus) or Out (Numpad Minus).
HEIGHT: The camera target height can be raised Up (Numpad 7) or Down (Numpad 1). To reset the camera height back to 0, press the camera target Reset Button (Numpad 5).
HOME: The camera target can be changed back to the Ground Control Station (GCS) but hitting Shift and the Reset Button (Shift + Numpad 5). Once you do this, the Raven will return to the GCS and circle around it.
CAMERA TYPE: The camera type can be cycled from DTV, to NV, to Forward Looking Infrared-White Hot, to Forward Looking Infrared-Black Hot by hitting the Camera Cycle button (N by default).
